ARTIST STATEMENT

In her series "Biophilia," Elham Hazfi presents a conceptual exploration of the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature within the context of contemporary art discourse. Through vibrant acrylic paintings on canvas, Hazfi invites viewers to reconsider their connection to the natural world through a conceptual lens.

Hazfi's artwork serves as a conceptual refuge, where the convergence of organic forms and abstract human profiles becomes a metaphorical sanctuary for contemplation and introspection. Through bold brushstrokes and vibrant hues, she navigates the liminal space between the tangible and the intangible, inviting viewers to explore their own relationship with nature as a source of solace and resilience.

In "Biophilia," Hazfi transcends traditional representations of nature, offering a contemporary interpretation of humanity's intrinsic affinity for the environment. Her compositions serve as conceptual landscapes, where the interplay of colorful leaves, flowers, and enigmatic female profiles becomes a visual narrative of interconnectedness and renewal.

As we grapple with the complexities of modernity and the existential questions posed by contemporary life, Hazfi's artwork prompts us to reevaluate our place within the natural world, offering a conceptual framework for understanding the enduring bond between humanity and nature in an increasingly fragmented world.
